The governors of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola and his counterpart, Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, the two owner states of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology have set up a 10-man technical committee to produce a white paper from the visitation panel’s report.
The Chief Wole Olanipekun’s visitation panel was set up late 2016 with the mandate to investigate the crises rocking LAUTECH and recommend short and long term solutions.

The technical committee, chaired by the Chief of Staff to Oyo State governor, Dr. Gbade Ojo, is expected to submit a white paper on the visitation panel’s report within two weeks.

A four-point term of reference was set for the committee by the owner states. The term of reference include but not limited to taking a critical look at the recommendations of the visitation panel, and review whatever inadequacies that might be in the recommendations.

The committee, however is expected to also come up with a pragmatic recommendations for the reopening of the university and its sustainability without necessarily bringing financial burden to the owner states.

Arrangement have also been concluded to engage international management consulting firm to look at the management structure of the institution and its finances with a view to offer long term sustainable recommendations to the two owner states.
