Mothers have been advised not to disregard the problems their daughters face during their menstrual period as they could be a symptom of endometriosis
The Director of Nordica Fertility Medical Center, Dr Abayemi Ajayi, in this year’s
Endometriosis Day, themed:Endometriosis in adolescent gave the advise that mothers should be close to their daughters so as to let them know it during there puberty stage.
He said at the campaign that the only reason why the clinic hosted the awareness is that many individuals misinterpret Endometriosis as Menstrual pain. Ajayi, further said that the condition of Endometriosis occurs when their is unendurable pain especially when female individuals are passing through menstrual period
The Endometriosis Support Group has carried out activities to raise awareness about the condition in the country and one of such is the yearly Endo March, which campaign started from Muri Okunola Park in City Mall, Onikan, through Ikoyi, and ended in Victoria Island.
Head of Consumer Banking, Diamond Bank, Mrs Aisah Ahmed said the bank was happy to invest in the Nigerian women, helping them achieve their potential.
