 Dr Robert Uzu The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Ruzu Natural Health Products and Services, has advised the Federal Government to encourage the country’s natural  capacity in plan, saying it is  required to boost traditional medicine in the country.

He said it will  enable the country  have a border generating revenue in-order to set a pace for local production and for export, which could substitute oil.


The herbal medicine practitioner, spoke during a courtesy visit of the National Association of Nigerian Students, to his office in Igando, Lagos, as part of celebrations marking his 40th birthday.

According to Dr Uzu; “All traveling  road in the country have plants that are rich in various nutrients, they are not exploited, they laying waste on the road because no one seems to know what it can do”.


He further said that  health  issues like  high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer , stroke,and infertility cases, aims to be solved by orthodox medicines is  now a challenge which herbal firms focus on handling.

He further suggested that the government use these wasted lands by having botanical gardens in states. “This will enable medicinal plants very  useful", he added.


 “It is time to  focus on the  natural life  in Nigeria which  enabled our fore fathers to live up to 100 years with ease..."
"we must bring an end to life expectation of below 60 years in Nigeria.”
