With a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) OF 4.85, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra state, graduated its overall best student Ikenna Henry Ozofor, who is from the Department of Chemical Engineering, under the Faculty of Engineering.

He also made a name for himself, in becoming the NO'1 student to emerge with the highest CGPA from the Faculty Of Engineering.

In his speech, he caught the mind of his audience when he said ''i was not expecting to be the best''.

Having been the best in his secondary school day, he got a scholarship  from high profound companies like Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), ABC Transportation, Chevron Agbami JV, and Allied Energy, to study in the University because of his amazing performance in during his  sophomore period in school.

He further said: “I don’t read for too long hours. My average reading period was four hours and I don’t think I can go beyond this. But, I consistently maximised the little time to understand what was necessary in courses I offered. My daily routine was fixed. I would go for lectures in the morning till evening. When I returned, I would eat and sleep for five hours. I would be up for four hours to study.”

He also spoke about the scholarship given to him by big companies,saying that it paved way for him financially, helping him get what he needed for his studies.


"My academic path..." he said, "is to God's Glory...".  “There are no shortcuts and secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hardwork and learning from failure.”
