It is common knowledge that Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma are far from besties, but his feud did not happen overnight -- the two New York rappers have been 'frenemies' for up to a decade.

In 2007, a budding Nicki Minaj released her "Dirty Money" freestyle, targeting a fellow female rapper. The lyrics contained in part: "Tell that b---h with the crown to run it like Chris Brown / She won three rounds, I'mma need a hundred thou' / Oh, y'all ain't know? / Bet y'all b---hes know now."

While Minaj's career skyrocketed over the next couple of years, Remy faced jail time from a 2007 shooting where she was convicted of intentional assault that landed her six years behind bars. she was however released in 2014.

After years of harsh subliminals, hugs, and words of adoration, their rocky relationship came to a head on February 26th, when Remy unleashed her searing diss record "shETHER" targetted at Minaj.
