The announcement came the day after two young women appeared in court charged with murdering the estranged half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un with a banned nerve agent.
In connecion with this, suspect, Ri Jong-Chol who was arrested and detained for the murder was ordered to be released for lack of sufficient evidence.
Seven other North Koreans have been tagged wanted in connection with the killing of Mr. Kim Jong Nam, who was said to have been attacked at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport while waiting for his flight. The seven suspects are said to include a diplomat and an airline employee who are believed to be in Malaysia.
CCTV footage from the crime scene revealed two women approaching him and appearing to have thrust in his face, a cloth allegedly containing a banned, harmful nerve agent, which led to his death. Four other suspects are believed to have fled to Pyongyang on the day of the murder.
South Korean activists said Thursday, that they will send millions of leaflets about the murder of Jong Nam across the border by balloon. and have consistently pointed the finger of blame at North Korea for the assassination, citing what they say was a standing order from Kim Jong-Un to kill his half-brother, who lived in exile. The latter has since denied the accusation.
