Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli now has cause to smile

Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli now has cause to smile as the court has lifted the injuction against the showing of her movie, Okafor's law.

Recall that last Friday, Okafor's law was supposd to premeire at the Filmhouse IMAX cinema, Lekki but was called off as a result of a court injunction obtained by Raconteur Productions on behalf of Canadian based writer, Jude Idada who had claimed that the movie was his intellectual property and that the actress had infringed upon his copyright.

Today however, a Fedaral High Court, in Ikoyi ,Lagos has lifted the injunction on the grounds that  the movie should not have been prevented from showing in the first place since the copyright claim suit is yet to be determined by a competent court of law.

Okafor’s Law is now set to show in all cinemas nationwide  from Friday, March 31, 2017.
