The third edition of the National Youth Games is set to hold at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria from September 7th to 17th. This would mark the varsity's second consecutive time of hosting the games.
According to the university's bulletin issued on Monday, the approval of the dates as well as venue by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development was as a result of the university’s successful hosting of the second edition last year.
The bulletin equally indicated that the 2017 edition of the Games is expected to provide opportunities for the selection of athletes who will represent the country at the World Youth Games to be held in Argentina.
