Nigerian born Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa has been arrested on domestic abuse allegations. The player was picked up in his house by the police at about 1am yesterday following complaints of domestic abuse against his wife.
According to the Sun newspaper, Ahmed's arrest comes just hours after he took to social media to post a picture of his wife Jamila with a message of love to celebrate her birthday on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Leicester City also revealed that the father of two cooperated with the police inquiry regarding a disturbance in his house, adding thus: “The inquiry has since been closed and no further action is to be taken..."
"... We see no reason for formal action internally, though Ahmed will be given the opportunity to discuss the matter with football management when the squad returns...”
