SERVICOM which came to stay in Nigerian as a machinery of institutionalizing effective public service delivery was taught for one week among the corps members.


Nysc SERVICOM Group Sensitize Students and Members
In a bid to inculcate service delivery principles among corps members serving in Ekiti South West Local Government Area of Ekiti state, the SERVICOM CDS group in Igbaraodo and Ogutun axis of the local government recently organized lectures which touch on core principles of SERVICOM with emphasis on professionalism, accountability and complaint handling.


SERVICOM which came to stay in Nigerian as a machinery of institutionalizing effective public service delivery was taught for one week among the corps members.

The president of the group, Alao Kunle reiterated that SERVICOM became necessary in Nysc due to the effect the Nysc has in promoting effective service delivery throughout the country.
The group latter proceeded to Community High School, Igbaraodo Ekiti to enlighten the students on “Career guidance and effective students-teachers relationship in class activities”.

Speaking at the event, the Vice president of the group, Ekwe Emeka and Felix Agwu, one of the CDS group members advised the students to have passion before venturing into any career choice, and that they should not follow their friends in choosing careers, but rather passion should be a determining factor.
They urged the teachers to serve as motivating role models to the students. Miss Damilola Alawada, an SS2 student thanked the group on behalf of the students and promised to put to practice what have leant.

The CDS group members that were at the occasion include: Chinwendu Felista, Oyom Paul, Owolabi Bolaji, Oburu Gift, Ekwealo Victor, Alao Kunle, Agwu Felix, Akorede Bunmi, Odion Anthony, Omaku Victoria, Fumilayo Salami, Elis Green, Fatunmbi Florence, and Bobzom Shamgar.

Highlight of the event was the distribution of branded copies of 80 leaves exercise books and pens to the students and teachers.
