The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared a 3-day fasting and prayer session

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared a 3-day fasting and prayer session for the quick recovery of president Muhammadu Buhari. You would recall that the president has been away in the UK on medical leave since January.

The NANS president, Mr. Chinonso Obasi stated in a press release that Nigerian students would on Wednesday, join other patriotic citizens to intercede on behalf of the President, who has been on extended medical vacation in the UK.

He further called on students in the tertiary institutions to join their hearts in prayer to God for the quick recovery of the president.

Obasi added that his return would  assist the  fight against corruption in educational institutions, which he described as the cancer that has eaten deep, threatening the destiny of millions of Nigerian students.

He therefore called on Christian and Muslim students alike to round off the prayers during the Friday Jumat prayers and Sunday services nationwide. (NAN).
