20. DIETMAR HOPP
Through his foundation called Dietmar-Hopp-Stiftung, he made a donation of $1 billion to support local education, sports, and health facilities in his home town,Germany. He is an IT enterpreneur and also the co-foounder of SAP, a famous software company. He's worth $6.3 billion.
19. PIERRE OMIDYAR
The French born Iranian-American businessman started the Omidyar Foundation with his wife. His organisation donates to several causes including entrepreneurship, food, technology and energy. He is the co-founder of eBay, and in 1998, he started the Omidyar Foundation. Throught his great work, he donated $270 million worth of his eBay share to a charity orgnizaion. So far, he has given out an estimated $1 billion.
18. MICHAEL DELL
The CEO of the computer manufacturer, Dell, has a love for education, humanitarian and social services, and through that he has made a donation estimating to the sum of $1.1 billion.

With the help of his wife Marilyn, he opened the Simons Foundation, which supports educational causes. He is the chairman of Renaissance Technology and has a hedge fund that owns $65 billion in assets. They also opened two other foundations in memory of their two sons who died in 1996 and 2003, altogether the Simons have made $1.2 billion worth of donation.

The philanthropist and founder of cable network CNN is an American media Mogul. In 1997, he gave out $1billion to promote causes related to women, children's health, environment, world peace and security. His life time donation reaches up to $1.2 billion.

The founder of Huntsman Chemical Corporation, the largest manufacturer of polyurethane in th United States Jon Huntsman, is a philanthroipist and has given out $1.2 billion on the focus of cancer research. He signed the Giving Pledge to encourage the wealthiest people to make a commitment to give most of their wealth to philanthropic causes.

He is one of the richest men in Asia. Li Ka-shing is a Hong Kong business magnate, whose foundation supports education, healthcare, culture, having donated $1.2 billion to these causes.
13. MARK ZUCKERBERG
The Facebook founder is also a philanthropist who also signed the Giving Pledge, with a donation of $1.6 billion. He is one of the youngest billionaires in the world. Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla donated $25 million as a way of supporting the fight against Ebola.
12. PAUL ALLEN
Paul Allen is the man who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates, and now, he is the chairman of Vulcan, a private investment company. Paul has given a total of $2 billion to charities and he is the Found of Paul G. Allen Family Foundation.
11. MICHAEL BLOOMBERG
Michael Bloomberg is the founder and CEO of Bloomberg Media, the former Mayor of New York City and the founder of Bloomberg Foundation. His foundation provides donations to the John Hopkins University, the World Lung Foundaion, the World Health Organisiation, etc. He has donated a total amount of $3 billion to charities.

The CEO of BOK Financial Corporation George Kaiser is the founder of George Kaiser Family Foundation, which donates to education, health and community development. In 2010, he joined the Giving Pledge and he has donated $3.3 billion to charity.

He opened two foundations, the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundations and The Broad Art Foundation. He is the only man to have built two Fortunes- 500 Companies in different industry (KB Home and SunAmerica). His foundation has donated an estimated $3.3 billion.

Carlos Slim is one of the richest self-made billionaires in the world. He is also one of the three richest men in the world. Through the different foundations he is involved in, he has donated $4 billion to charities so far.

Gordon Moore is the co-founder of Intel. He retired from his corporate position in 2006. Nowadays, he is very involved in philanthropic activities with his wife. Together , they run the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundatin and have donated $5 billion to support environmental conservation.
6. SULAIMAN BIN ABDUL AZIZ AL RAJHI
He founded the Al Rajhi Bank in 1957 with three brothers. Today, the bank has grown into one of the largest Islamic banks in the world. The Al Rajhi family is considered to be among Saudi Arabia's non-royal family. In 2011, Abdul Aziz Al Rajhi announced that he was donating most of his then $7.7 billion fortune to charity, he has donated up to $5.7 billion to charity.

Azim Premji is an Indian business tycoon, investor, and philanthropist. He is the chairman of Wipro Limited, an IT consulting company. He was the first Indian to sign the Giving Pledge. So far, he has donated $8 billion of his wealth to charity.

He is nicknamed ''The Man Who Broke the Bank of England'' because he sold $10 billion worth of British pounds and made a profit of $1 billion. The Hungarian-born investor, author, and philanthropist is the chairman of Soros Fund Management. He has donated $8 billion to charities in the community development., social services, health and education sectors.

Warren Buffett is one of the very wealthy and generous people in the world and has donated 85% of his wealth to Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and to other foundations set up by his family members. Till date, he has donated $21.5 billion to charities.
