Plateau State Organises Maths Workshop For Students
The government of Plateau State, North- Central Nigeria has organised a mathematics workshop for public school students in the state.
According to the State's Commissioner for Education, Mr Joseph Mairiga, 120 students are participating in the first phase of the workshop which began in Jos, the state capital yesterday.
Mr. Mairiga stated that the workshop is aimed at instilling confidence in the students during mathematics examinations by guiding them on how to understand and solve given problems.
“...We intend to organise subsequent workshops, either annually or biannually, because mathematics is a core subject for all disciplines,” he added.
